World of Warcraft: Forever was announced at the BlizzCon 2026 Opening Ceremony and What’s Next panel on Sept 12, 2026. This page summarizes what has been confirmed since; the dungeons, zones, editions, and roadmap pages carry the full detail and sources for each topic.

Setting

New zones

Four new zones are confirmed: Mount Hyjal, Shen’dralar (spelled inconsistently across sources), Riverglades, and Zephras Isle. See the zones page for what is known about each, including which details are single-source.

Dungeons

Nine new dungeons are confirmed by name: Hall of Thanes, Ruins of Lordaeron, City of Dalaran, Whelgar’s Excavation, Drowned City, Krol’dok Stronghold, Alcaz Prison, Blackmaw Hold, and Shaper’s Terrace. Their level ranges are reported only by one press roundup and have not been confirmed by Blizzard; see the dungeons page for each range.

  1. Realm count, realm types (PvP, PvE, RP), and regions.
  2. Whether Classic Era characters can transfer into Forever.
  3. The addon policy for Forever.
  4. PvP flagging rules and whether self-found rulesets exist.
  5. The exact date and regions for Hardcore realms.
  6. How Legacy relates to retail’s Warbands system.
  7. Honor system numbers.
  8. Full talent trees; the community has explicitly asked for a talent calculator.
  9. The identity of the “notorious Demon Hunter” teased for Barrow Deeps.
  10. Whether a raid referred to as “Timbermaw” in a Wowhead navigation title is real.
  11. Whether Night Elf Paladin and Dwarf Shaman combinations are officially confirmed for Forever.
  12. The pricing of each pack, verbatim from Blizzard’s own copy.
  13. Which of the retail Patch 12.2 Paladin race combinations, if any, apply to Forever.
