Skyborne

Skyborne is a new elven race introduced with World of Warcraft: Forever.

What is known

• Skyborne is a neutral race, meaning players choose a faction, Horde or Alliance, at character creation rather than the race being locked to one side.
• The default classes available to Skyborne are Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, and Druid, with sky-blue Druid forms.
• Shaman is available only to Skyborne who choose the Horde, and Mage only to those who choose the Alliance.
• Blizzard has shown deep customization options for the race, along with new voice lines and dances.
• Skyborne requires owning at least the Skyborne Heroic Pack, priced at $29.99; it is not available with a base subscription.

Community reaction

The $29.99 minimum price to unlock a playable race has been the single largest point of community pushback since the announcement.

Full customization options, whether the race will ever be sold separately at a lower price, and any additional class access beyond what has been shown.
